UNDERSTANDING ANXIETY

Anxiety isn’t just worrying too much—it’s your body’s way of responding to stress and life’s challenges. But when your nervous system gets stuck in overdrive, it’s hard to relax, trust yourself, or enjoy the present.

Therapy can help you unravel these patterns, understand what’s fueling your anxiety, and build new ways of responding that help you navigate life with ease.

If it feels like your mind is working against you—you're not alone.

I’M RENA.

I specialize in working with high-achieving teens and women facing anxiety, OCD, depression, and related disorders.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical—helping you build skills to manage anxiety while uncovering the deeper patterns keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll work to create lasting shifts that give you the tools to move through life with more confidence and clarity.

HOW I CAN HELP

I specialize in helping women manage a range of anxiety-related struggles, creating tailored strategies to help you find balance and get “unstuck.”

  • Generalized anxiety isn’t just worrying too much. It’s that constant pit in your stomach and the never-ending stream of “what-ifs” racing through your mind, leaving you feeling overwhelmed at every turn.

Simple tasks can feel daunting, and the mental and physical exhaustion can make it hard to focus or find peace. The good news? With the right tools and support, you can regain control and develop healthier ways of managing your anxiety.

  • Postpartum anxiety is very common, but that doesn’t mean it’s something to just push through. If you find yourself constantly worrying about your baby’s well-being, feeling unsure of your ability to care for them, or having intrusive thoughts about something going wrong, you're not alone.

This anxiety can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected from your baby, and uncertain about your role as a parent. The constant barrage of worries and intrusive thoughts can make it even harder to find peace, leaving you feeling isolated. But with the right support, you can learn to manage your anxiety and begin to feel more confident, present, and, most importantly, back to yourself.

  • Burnout happens when stress becomes a constant companion, leading to emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion. It can be triggered by work pressures, caregiving demands, or personal responsibilities, gradually building up over time.

The cycle of burnout and chronic stress can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and lacking motivation. You might find it hard to feel energized or present in your work or personal life, and physical symptoms like headaches or trouble sleeping may start to take a toll.

In therapy, we focus on learning how to step off the hamster wheel, manage your responsibilities effectively, and set healthy boundaries. With the right support, you can regain balance, reduce stress, and begin to feel more energized and connected to your life again.

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) involves persistent, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) that lead to compulsive behaviors or rituals in an attempt to alleviate the anxiety these thoughts cause. It’s a cycle that can take up a lot of mental energy and interfere with daily life. While the need to perform certain rituals might feel urgent, understanding OCD and learning how to manage these compulsions is possible with the right support.

The gold-standard treatment for OCD is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which helps you gradually face feared situations without performing the compulsive rituals, allowing you to break the cycle of anxiety and behaviors.
